Future Proof: Carrot Creative and Jaunt Announce Partnership to Help Brands Unlock the Promise of Cinematic Virtual Reality & 360 Video
Brooklyn-based digital agency, Carrot Creative, and Palo Alto-based cinematic virtual reality company, Jaunt, today jointly announced a creative partnership, undertaken to help major brands connect with consumers through fully immersive, cinematic VR experiences. The partnership between the two companies represents the first alliance between an agency and a VR content and technology provider, a fact that both companies believe serves as further evidence that VR will soon begin enjoying widespread adoption among consumers.
“Carrot has a long history helping brands adopt new technologies, and pushing the creative envelope to make each platform as immersive as possible. We started this in 2007 with the Ford Explorer as the first ever automobile released in social, and have continued the tradition by recently turning Instagram into a video game with Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty Rickstaverse. VR is by far the most engaging and immersive media yet invented, so our canvas is bigger than ever, and there is no better partner to help us paint it than Jaunt,” said Mike Germano, CEO of Carrot Creative.
“Carrot really impressed us with their creative vision for how VR will have a significant impact on the advertising and branding worlds, as well as their successful track record helping to grow new platforms,” said Jens Christensen, co-founder and CEO of Jaunt. “To date we’ve had great success working with premium brands like The North Face, Bud Light and Rebecca Minkoff, and with this new relationship we look forward to many new opportunities to work with the largest and most innovative brands in the world, bringing premium VR content to global audiences.”
To fully activate and capitalize on the partnership, Carrot Creative has established a dedicated VR department called Carrot Vision, which has been built using Jaunt’s highly anticipated Neo camera and proprietary end-to-end solution for producing cinematic VR content. The first project scheduled for release from the department is a cinematic VR experience made possible by Carrot’s client Shinola, the Detroit-based manufacturer of high-end watches, bicycles, and leather goods.
Carrot is a full service digital agency based in DUMBO Brooklyn. Carrot has won numerous awards and accolades including back-to-back appearances in Crain’s Best Places to Work, multiple Webby Awards, and the Shorty Award for Best Midsize Social Media Agency two years in a row.
