JAUNT ANNOUNCES BUSINESS TEAM TO SUPPORT GROWTH OF INTERNATIONAL CINEMATIC VR MARKET

New Hires Bolster Jaunt’s Strategic Plans To Bring VR To The Masses By Helping Secure Partnerships With Top Creative Talent and International Brands 

PALO ALTO, CA – March 21, 2016 - Jaunt Inc., the industry leader in cinematic virtual reality (VR), today announced several new hires to support the company’s global strategy of partnering with top brands and creative talent to bring incredible cinematic VR experiences to audiences around the world.  The business team will be primarily focused on securing partnerships for the production and distribution of premium cinematic VR experiences, as well as identifying creative ways to integrate VR into marketing campaigns.

Richard Goldberg, who previously served as founder and president of Blue Star Media, a consultancy firm specializing in new media platforms and content development, and who helped develop the initial programming content for DirecTV, serves as Global Head of Partnerships and Business Development. Here he will manage deals relating to content creation, distribution and joint ventures.  Julie Uhrman, Founder and CEO of the ground-breaking video game console OUYA, brings a wealth of experience as the newly appointed Head of Platform Business Development.  

Former EVP Advertising & Business Development at King Digital Entertainment, Mark Charkin, has joined the team as a senior consultant focused on sponsorships and brand partnerships. Meanwhile, Dominic Collins, former CMO of Legal & General and Director of Digital of UK wireless company EE, will be dedicated to implementing the company’s global commercial, marketing and brand strategy in Europe. Michiel Frackers, who previously co-founded Planet Internet, the largest internet company in the Netherlands, also joins as a field representative in Europe.

Jaunt has the biggest library of premium, professionally produced VR content for consumers. The team will be focused on expanding Jaunt’s list of AAA partners like Condé Nast, ABC News, the NFL, and creatives such as Doug Liman, broadening its reach of the app on dedicated HMDs and mobile devices, building on the success of existing brand partners like The North Face and Budweiser, while establishing a greater presence abroad.
